This privacy policy (“Policy”) describes how Yug Wallet (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares your personal information when you use our decentralized wallet application (the “Service”). By using the Service, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information as described in this Policy. “Yug Wallet” is a product owned by Yug Network Inc.

At Yug, we hold privacy as one of our fundamental principles, and we understand the importance of safeguarding your personal information. As a result, we have developed our services with the aim of minimizing the amount of data we collect about you and eliminating any need for central data storage or sharing. We only gather data that is necessary to communicate with you and enhance the quality of our services.

Protecting your privacy is of utmost importance to us at Yug Network. Our services are designed to minimize the amount of data collected about you and eliminate the need for any central data storage or sharing requirement. We do collect certain information to interact with you and improve our services. As a software-as-a-service business, we take our responsibilities regarding the requirements of CCPA and the EU GDPR seriously.

Our App Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) outlines the data we collect and how we use your personal data. It also explains how you can access, update, or control the personal data we have collected from you.

Our application processes various types of information, including personal identifiable information and special categories of personal data. Our top priority is to ensure your data remains private. Unlike most identity providers in the market, we never share personal data with anyone, including ourselves. Our applications are built to minimize data collection, sharing, and storage. For each type of data collected, we will provide a detailed explanation of the processing level and depth to help you understand how we protect your privacy compared to traditional identity verification service providers.

We collect your personal data when you open our mobile app or interact with a website pop-up, create or update your digital credentials through our mobile app or website pop-up, verify your credentials through our mobile app or website pop-up, or access/use any feature, content, software, hardware, or other product available on or through our services or provided by us. Your access and use of our services are subject to providing us with any requested user information

1. Information we collect


1.1 Personal Information

When you use our decentralized wallet application, we do not store any personal information on our servers. All of your personal information, including your name, email address, phone number, transaction history, and digital assets associated with your account, are encrypted with your wallet private key and stored on a decentralized storage platform. We may collect technical information about your device, such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifier, solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

We get information about you in a range of ways. Information You Give Us. Information we collect from you may include:

  • Identity information, such as your first name, last name, username or similar identifier, title, date of birth and gender;
  • Contact information, such as your postal address, email address and telephone number;
  • Profile information, such as your username and password, interests, preferences, feedback and survey responses;
  • Feedback and correspondence, such as information you provide in your responses to surveys, when you participate in market research activities, report a problem with Service, receive customer support or otherwise correspond with us;
  • Financial information, such as your credit card or other payment card details;
  • Transaction information, such details about purchases you make through the Service and billing details;
  • Usage information, such as information about how you use the Service and interact with us;
  • Marketing information, such as your preferences for receiving marketing communications and details about how you engage with them;
  • Financial information, such as bank account number and bank routing number; financial assets holdings; and
  • Technical information, such as your wallet address, application programming interface (API)-key and network information regarding transactions. Please note that your Ethereum wallet address is not collected by us.

Further information we collect from you may include:

  • Further identity information, such as your country of birth, nationality, social security number, place of birth, employer and occupation;
  • Passport and/or photo ID for identity verification purposes;
  • Information required to comply with anti-money laundering (AML) laws and know-your-customer (KYC) requirements (such as nationality and place of birth);
  • Source of funds

1.2 How we use your information

At Yug Network, we understand the importance of privacy and security when it comes to handling personal data. Personal data is only collected to enable the creation of a digital identity and to issue Verifiable Certificates and Soulbound tokens to ensure access control across different dApps.

To protect your personal data, we use strong encryption algorithms and store the data on decentralized storage that only you can access using your private key. This ensures that your data is protected and can only be accessed by you, providing complete control over your personal information and even Yug does not have access to this data. Yug Wallet then issues SoulBound Tokens (SBTs) to the user, which can be used to verify the status of the user’s identity without revealing any personal data. The SBTs are publicly viewable on blockchain and can be used as proof of the user’s identity.

We use your personal information solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service, including:

  • Providing you with access to your digital assets;
  • Facilitating transactions between you and other users of the Service;
  • Responding to your inquiries and customer service requests;
  • Detecting and preventing fraud, hacking, or other security threats;
  • Analyzing user behavior and trends to improve the Service and provide customized content and advertising;
  • Communicating with you about the Service and updates to our policies.

1.3 How we share your information

We do not sell, rent, or otherwise disclose your personal information to third parties for their marketing or other purposes, except as follows:

  • No Personal Identifiable Information (PII) is stored, accessed, nor processed in any way by Yug Wallet
  • Third party providers may be able to access and store your personal information and we would request you to kindly go through those privacy policy documents

2. Security of your information

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information, including:

  • Encryption: Your personal information is encrypted with your wallet private key and stored on a decentralized storage platform.
  • Access controls: Only you have access to your personal information through your wallet private key.
  • Monitoring: We monitor our systems for unauthorized access and other security threats.


Despite these measures, no security system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information.

3. Changes to this policy

We may update this Policy from time to time by posting a new version on our website or within the Service. We will notify you of any changes by email or through the Service
